saru mo ki kara ochiru

Kotowaza are japanese ancient sayings. This kotowaza (saru mo ki kara ochiru or even monkeys fall from trees) conveys the idea that all creatures are flawed. Even monkeys, who are skillful treeclimbers, fall on occasion. The proverb is a friendly nudge. A reminder that messing up is inevitable. A message that nobody is perfect. So the next time you make a mistake, don't beat yourself up over it. Saru mo ki kara ochiru.
